Frequently Asked Questions

What should I expect after my treatment?
After effects vary from person to person. Usually, the skin will be slightly red after a treatment. This reaction subsides within a few hours after treatment. Most times a treatment can be done over the lunch hour and you're fine to return to normal activities. At a complementary consultation we can fully explain to you the reactions and what to expect after your treatments.

What areas can I have treated?
In both men and women, almost any area of the face or body can be treated with laser or electrolysis. Common area for women to have treated are: upper lip, chin, bikini line, arms, abdomen, chest, legs, hairline, and underarms. In men, common areas are: abdomen, arms, back, chest, ears, facial area, feet, hands, neck, and shoulders. Laser can be used to treat nose hairs and electrolysis can be used to treat the eyebrow area.

Is this expensive?
Compared to a lifetime of temporary methods, electrolysis and laser are quite affordable. A fifteen minute electrolysis treatment is $35 and a laser upper lip treatment is $100. Other areas vary in cost and the amount of electrolysis time needed varies on the area and amount of hair to be treated. Electrolysis and laser both take repeated treatments. An accurate estimate for the number of treatments needed can be given at a free consultation

Why is this better than other methods?
Other method such as waxing, tweezing, depilatories, bleaching, and shaving are all temporary. Electrolysis and laser can offer a permanent solution to your hair problem.

Do the treatments hurt?
The amount of discomfort felt varies from person to person. Laser is more comfortable than electrolysis. For people who have difficulty tolerating the treatment there are numbing agents available.
