Trissage Body Smoothing Treatment
This two-part treatment exfoliates the body, smoothing away dead, rough skin while the second part hydrates, lubricates and softens. First, a layer of exfoliating Kerafole is massaged over the entire body followed by a sprinkling of medicinal Chinese herbs. Then your body is wrapped in warm blankets so the exfoliation process can occur. Angela Flender is the owner of the Advanced Center and a hair removal specialist. Nationally, Angela is a Certified Medical Electrologist and Laser Hair Removal Professional. This is the highest certification available for laser hair removal. Angela is a licensed electrologist and certified to perform laser through the state of Iowa. Angela has been practicing since 1990, and has successfully treated thousands of clients. She is a member of the International Guild of Hair Removal Specialists and the Society for Clinical and Medical Hair Removal.

Gretchen Klein is a Licensed Cosmetologist through the State of Iowa, and certified in Chemical Peels and Microdermabrasion. She graduated from Capri College in 2000. Gretchen has also received extended training at the Bioelements Learning Center in Chicago and Advanced training in all aspects of Skin Care. Gretchen is also a member of the National Cosmetology Association.

Microdermabrasion
Microdermabrasion has been proven to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. These treatments are also great for mild scar and acne scar revision. Laser Hair Removal
The Advanced Center for Electrolysis, Laser & Skin offers the Light Sheer Diode laser for hair removal. Lasers use a specific wavelength of light to produce heat to stop the growth of hairs. These types of lasers do not affect the surrounding skin tissue, but are only absorbed by the hair follicle itself. At a complimentary consultation a certified laser professional will evaluate your particular area to be treated. Factors that need to be taken into consideration are; your type of hair growth, color of the hairs and skin, skin sensitivity, previous hair removal methods, and underlying causes for hair growth. In both men and women, almost any area of the face or body can be treated with laser or electrolysis. Common areas for women are: upper lip, chin, bikini line, abdomen, legs, hairline, and underarms. In men, common areas are: abdomen, back, chest, ears, facial area, neck, and shoulders. Laser generally takes four to six treatments for any given area. Laser treatments are generally 4-12 weeks apart. Some individuals prefer to start with laser treatments and follow-up with electrolysis.

Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the removal of unwanted hair by inserting a fine probe into the hair follicle and applying a mild current to destroy the hair root. There are three types of currents used for electrolysis; thermolysis, galvanic, and blend. All methods are available at the Advanced Center for Electrolysis, Laser & Skin. Electrolysis is a suitable choice for smaller areas, white hairs, and eyebrows. It is a great alternative for individuals who do not qualify for laser.
